Great transfer speeds turn to sub M/s speeds after time

Featured Replies

Ok, this is for a brand new setup.

When i first start the Unraid Server my transfer speeds are great!  (60  M/s or so)However if I let the machine sit awhile and I try to transfer anything to it I get sub M/s speeds.

I tried hitting the "spin up drives" button first and nothing. I have tried with an empty cache drive and still the same. Ive looked though my Bios settings and turned off anything relating to sleep/stanby modes.

My normal file transfer tool is Terracopy but i have also just tried with explorers usually click drag method. Again bother these work great for a few hours after startup or reboot of the server.

Big files, small files it makes no Difference

Again i'm getting great speeds for a while then super slow.

Before rebooting and after you experience the problem, go to Tools Diagnostics and post the complete diagnostics zip.

And besides USB it's also used by your NIC, hence the performace crashing, look for a bios update, alternatively an ad-don NIC, Intel recommended.

quick up date.

I disabled the realtek lan port on my  motherboard and used the intel port instead.

So far so good. No irq problems for 24 hours.
