February 9, 20188 yr I've read some info in the manual regarding how shares work, but I've not been able to find an answer to this specific question. If I have a share (called "Documents") including 5 member disks (Disk 1,2,3,4,5) and I edit the share and remove Disk 1 from the "Included Disks" list, I assume that the files on that disk continue to reside there, but no 'new' files will be placed on that disk? Is my assumption correct?
February 9, 20188 yr Community Expert I would say that is correct, but I'm not sure whether Split Level overrides Include/Exclude or not.
February 9, 20188 yr In your case, if you want to move the files off of disk 1 at some point and you are comfortable with the command line there's a nice set of scripts that can help, diskmv/consld8 .
