[6.4.1] Bonding Mode 4 (802.3AD) Does Not Work Properly

Featured Replies

Description: A configuration in mode 4 (802.3AD) will acquire a DHCP IP address upon boot with the switch configured in LACP mode but the shell display does not reflect the IP properly. It will show a 169.254 IP.

How to reproduce: Fresh install of 6.4.1 with the switch having LACP disabled. Enable Mode 4 in the GUI of unRaid, enable LACP on the switch and reboot both devices with the UnRaid server
being rebooted after the switch is online. 6.3.5 does not exhibit this behavior, the IP is displayed properly on that version.

Expected results: Obtaining a bonded link with a DHCP IP and display that IP in the shell under the GUI information.

Actual results:[/b] A DHCP is assigned but the console displays a private invalid IP instead (169.254.XXX.XXX). If you login to the box and then immediately exit the session, the proper IP is then displayed.

Other information: This was performed with SuperMicro X10-SL7F board and Ubiquiti networking equipment which supports 802.3AD.
