    Yes, it might need to be flashed to IT mode if not already.

    And if you cannot flash it to IT mode you can still use the card. I see two solutions:

    1: make a RAID group for each disk, should be possible in theory (I have not tested/proved this)

    2: make one or more RAID discs. This one I am using myself for my cache disk.

    Yes , mine came in IT mode from ebay. It's is still going strong after 3 years.
