unRAID DDNS xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.unraid.net

Featured Replies

Hy,

when I do a nslookup to my xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.unraid.net Adress, I get a local IP.

Looks like a error !?

If I enable a SSL Cert this cert show the xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.unraid.net Domain. Can I register the cert at my own xxxx.org adress ?

Thanks

S.Thedens

nslookup should show a local IP, because the intention isn't to make your unRAID reachable from the outside world. The purpose of this feature is just to supply your computer with a private IP to reach your unRAID within your own home or office.

Instead of using this functionality, you can register your own certificate and then use any name that you are in control of. So if you own your own domain you can have the DNS servers registered for that domain to point to your server using whatever IP you want to register in the DNS.
