February 18, 20188 yr What's the process for replacing a 2 drive cache pool with a single (different) drive? Edited February 18, 20188 yr by IamSpartacus
February 18, 20188 yr Just remove one of them, instructions are in the FAQ, difficult to link since I am on a phone.

Right now they are in RAID0. I want to remove BOTH drives, and replace them with a single DIFFERENT drive. Is there any advantage of using btrfs for a single drive over XFS? Just stop the array, unassign both and assign the new one. 23 minutes ago, IamSpartacus said: Is there any advantage of using btrfs for a single drive over XFS? February 18, 20188 yr Be sure to see the FAQ if you need to keep the data. If you 1 hour ago, johnnie.black said: Just stop the array, unassign both and assign the new one. the data won't be rebuilt as it is with array drives. https://lime-technology.com/forums/topic/46802-faq-for-unraid-v6/#comment-511923

I don't have a lot of data on cache at this moment so it will be easy to copy it back after re-assigning the new drive.
February 18, 20188 yr That FAQ tells you how you can use mover to get the data off cache onto the array and then use mover to get data that belongs on cache back on cache.
