Dualboot Win 10 & 2 Win 10 VMs

Featured Replies

Hey,
I am thinking about getting unRaid for gaiming purpose.
I have Windows normally installed on a SSD and I am gaiming on it. But when friends come over I want to use unRaid for splitting up my PC into two gaiming VMs. I would install unRaid and the 2 VMs on an extra HDD.

Now my question is:
Am I able to select when my PC is booting up, if I want to use the normal Win 10 or the two unRaid Win 10 VMs (like Dualboot)?

Thanks,

Max

unRAID doesn't really install. It boots from a flash drive.

Are you interested in the NAS functionality of unRAID? Any disk in the parity array must not be written to while another OS is booted.

Okay so I just set the boot order, right?: USB Flash Drive --> Windows SSD

Should I boot unRAID normally or with UEFI?

I am not using unRAID for NAS functionality, only for gaiming purpose. I have 2 Drives in my system: Gaiming System SSD and unRAID Drive with both VMs installed
