phneutral Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Hey guys, new user here having a great time switching over to unRaid from WIndows, the youtube tutorials and community support have been invaluable. Anyway I did the most daft move today and wiped the entire contents of my USB boot drive, thinking it was the other flash drive attached to the server, and needless to say no VM's, plugins or containers are working anymore. I've spent most of the day googling what to do, but am I right in concluding that a fresh install is the only fix? I screen shotted my array so I'm confident I can get that back up, just a pain to start from scratch with VM and docker containers etc... I was hoping all the config for those could have been restored from appdata on the array. What's the best way to safeguard from accidental deletion of boot drive files?

phneutral Posted February 21, 2018 Author Posted February 21, 2018 Thank you. FWIW I re-created the USB stick and apart from some missing plugins everything is back up and running. VM's and docker containers all running as they were. Phew!
