troubling log errors

Featured Replies

Hey all I am concerned because I have replaced all cabling to correct this problem I also replaced the drive and am going out today to get a new drive controller the only other thing it could be. I am attaching A Diag and a system log please tell me what you think. I have read that it could be a problem with the kernel. the errors are toward the end of the system log.

9 out of 10 times it's a bad SATA cable, but if you've already replaced it could be a port/controller problem.

P.S. change your onboard controller from IDE to SATA/AHCI mode.

I have no such setting in my bios. I have a Asus m3n78 pro if you want to check and see what settings I do have. I have a new sata controller card I am going to Install tonight. Hope that solves the problem.

Page 4-25 of the manual. Perhaps you don't have the latest BIOS.

I'd be surprised if that setting is missing from any bios release including the first one:

Advanced -> Onboard Device Configuration -> MCP Storage Config
