February 28, 20188 yr Mobo: ASRock - EP2C602-4L/D16 I added a USB 3.0 PCIe card in order to connect an external USB 3.0 drive, but it doesn't show up on unassigned devices and I cannot add the card to my VMs. I've read something about IOMMU groups and think that might be the root cause. I have heard that moving the card to another slot might fix the issue. Is there anything else I missed before shutting down my server to switch slots? March 1, 20188 yr What USB 3.0 PCIe card do you have? I had to switch 2 of my slots on my ASRock - EP2C602-4L/D16 to be GEN1 to match the OLD TV tuners I had plugged in or they were not recognized. Now with a USB 3.0 PCIe card I would not expect it to be GEN1 but maybe the slot is set to GEN1 and it needs to be GEN2 or 3 for the card?
