(solved) Unmountable: No file system

It is better to start your own support thread. Even when your issue seems similar, the details will often be different, and bad things can result when advice intended for one user is accidentally used by another user. So it is best to let the original poster have this thread and others only reply in support of that user. This particular thread isn't really active anymore by the original poster, but the confusion that might result is just one reason "thread-hijacking" is not really approved of in forums generally. Besides, this thread has already been marked as solved, so you might not get as much attention as you would on your own thread.

I had the same exact behavior as listed in the beginning of this thread. I was able to

  • Stop the array
  • Start the array in Maintenance mode
  • click on the problem disk in the UI and then
  • run the "Check File System" tool from the dashboard.
  • I did have to use the "-L" argument to drop the log and proceed.

Fixed the problem. Unraid truly is awesome.
