Hello

I have very similar issue, first my Parity disk died, and I shut down my array. Today I power it up and I see Unmountable: No file system, I am in serious trouble . I don't want to try something I don't know anyone can look at logs and help please.

I have attached my diagnostic .

It is better to start your own support thread. Even when your issue seems similar, the details will often be different, and bad things can result when advice intended for one user is accidentally used by another user. So it is best to let the original poster have this thread and others only reply in support of that user. This particular thread isn't really active anymore by the original poster, but the confusion that might result is just one reason "thread-hijacking" is not really approved of in forums generally. Besides, this thread has already been marked as solved, so you might not get as much attention as you would on your own thread.

Just run into this issue today. You comments helped me fix my server and you made my day!!!! Really really grateful!!!! Can't thank you enough!

I had the same issue just right now. Helpful thread. :)

Great thanks. I've met the same question.

Just do as JonathanM directed.

Bingo. The unmount drive came back.

This is a very helpful thread.

I had the same exact behavior as listed in the beginning of this thread. I was able to

  • Stop the array
  • Start the array in Maintenance mode
  • click on the problem disk in the UI and then
  • run the "Check File System" tool from the dashboard.
  • I did have to use the "-L" argument to drop the log and proceed.

Fixed the problem. Unraid truly is awesome.

Sorry to reopen this but I do not see the option "Check File system". I have started the array with "Maintenance mode" checked but this option is neither visible on the dashboard itself nor when I click on the "problematic" disk. Any chance you could point me with a bit more precision?

Thank you!

PS: I am on unraid 6.12.13

I can edit it: now I was able to format it with the plugin "unassigned disks" and then I was able touse it again.
