[Solved] Can no longer get Virt-Manager Docker to connect to local KVM...

Featured Replies

I get the below error message when trying to connect Virt-Manager Docker to local unRaid VM...

1. VM's are working from WebGUI

2. Wiping and reinstalling Virt-Manager container didn't help

3. Used to work, but I may have changed several settings since the last time I tried to use it, reversing settings that I thought would correct this didn't...

4. Turning off Docker and VM Manager, changing the name of the docker.img and libvirt.img files and letting them be recreated from default, then manually reinstalling everything didn't help.

5. As far as I can tell the logs are no help, but can be provided if needed...

Any help with the issue would be appreciated, the only thing I can think of left to do is wipe the unRaid flash drive back to a fresh install...

I just tried a clean install of unRaid, still not working...

I am stumped...

  • 2 weeks later...

How did you solve this? It says solved but no explanation.

Turns out that when I reinstalled unRaid from scratch, I had forgotten to reinstall the packages virt-manager needed from NerdPack...  Once I reinstalled those as well, it worked...  Never did figure out what was mis-configured on the original install, but it is working now...
