Array stuck at Mounting disks

Featured Replies

Hello,

i stop my array to shutdown.

After that i want to restart and the array stuck on mounting disks.

The only way to change this is a reboot, but the array will not mount after that at all.

I have done "diagnostics" command an attach the outout.

Someone an idea?

Autostart disabled. Unclean shutdown? Did you try to start it or were you just waiting for it to start itself?

Likely something has come loose then. Try reseating cards, reseating cables, etc.

This was my first idea too.

I reconnect every plug.

All disks are mounted on that screenshot.

  • Author

yeah but no shares are up, no vms and docker tab says "Array must be started to view Docker containers."

Please post new diags since disks weren't mounted on the ones you posted.

Don't see an obvious issue, try rebooting in safe mode.

Save Mode seems to work.

What to do next

Uninstall all plugins then reinstall one by one.

Thanks for that advice.

It worked.

A little bit irritating, but it helps.

Installing them one at a time was not intended to be a method of fixing the problem. It was intended to help isolate the problem to a specific plugin.

I'm having the same issue after a power cut. It starts in Safe Mode but otherwise just says: Array Starting•Mounting disks...

I did also try to uninstall a new plugin but when i did i just got a blank popup window - is that because the array is still starting as it also says waiting for 192.x.x.x in the web window?

Im going to guess its doing some sort of disk check after the power out - can i see some kind of progress?

Thanks. Diangostic Zip attached

Your diagnostics don't indicate you are starting in SAFE mode.

What may seem like the same problem often isn't, and in the future you should really start your own support thread. It can be difficult to keep things straight when trying to support multiple people on the same thread. Advice intended for one might be accidentally used by another with disastrous consequences, for example. This is just one reason "thread hijacking" is discouraged.

I am only saying all that as a general principle for you to consider for future postings. Since this particular thread was abandoned months ago, let's just continue your support here in this thread.

The diags are from a normal boot. It boots in Safe mode and boots without autostart enabled but as soon as i start the array, it just says mounting disks.

I can also start the array in maintenance mode.

Im just checking the parity, lets see if it mounts after that.

Also completely understand the thread hijack.

So the parity checked just fine.

I've now started the array again and its stuck on Array Starting•Mounting disks...

Got it.

A User script that was set to run when the array started for rclone was stopping the array from starting.

it worked before i upgraded to 6.6.1
