March 15, 20188 yr Author Update - Disc 6 had a Red Cross. Restarted Unraid now disc 6 is listed as not installed - Parity 2 read errors reset back to zero
March 15, 20188 yr Community Expert Parity2 is failing, disk6 dropped offline so it's missing from the SMART reports, power down, check cabling, power back up and post new diags.

March 16, 20188 yr Community Expert Controller won't make a drive fail, can't comment on the other disk since you didn't post the SMART report yet.
