emmcee
I replaced a failed disk yesterday and followed the instrucitons here: https://lime-technology.com/wiki/Replacing_a_Data_Drive The rebuild recently finished and I recieved a notification: Event: unRAID Parity sync / Data rebuild Subject: Notice [TOWER] - Parity sync / Data rebuild finished (0 errors) Description: Duration: 18 hours, 16 minutes, 48 seconds. Average speed: 121.6 MB/s Importance: normal But when I go into the interface, the new drive is shown as Unmountable and Array Operations prompts me to format it. Is this because the previous disk had a status of "Unmountable"? Is it OK to format it and I'll be back in business (I had previously emptied it using UnBalance). Quote Link to comment

If the disk is empty it's OK to format, rebuilding an unmoutable emulated disk will always result in an unmountable disk. 1 Quote Link to comment
