Can't change VM disk size on 6.5.0, must downgrade to 6.4

Featured Replies

Trying to change (increase) an existing VM disk size results in a blank page.

Confirmed on two different machines, downgrading back to 6.4 fixes it.

Just noticed the same bug also on 6.5.0 Tried Chrome and Safari with same blank page.

Yeah. Didn't see a mention of the issue or a fix. Ran the "FCP" plugin too with errors.

It was picked up (or at least a variation on the problem) as an issue in the 6.5.0 release thread, I would expect a fix in a future release i.e. 6.5.1

any update on this? been a while and I think I have the same problem. only get a blank screen when i try to extend a vm's disk

I had to fire up the new console and enter

qemu-img resize PATH-TO-YOUR-VDISK +XG

Where "PATH-TO-YOUR-VDISK" is usually something like \mnt\disks\...

Also change the "X" before in "+XG" to the number of gigabytes you want to ADD

That should be /mnt/disks/.... It's Windows that uses the backwards slashes.

Whoops. Thanks for the correction @John_M

I updated to the beta build and there it works like it should. so guess on the next live update it should be fine 2
