March 16, 20188 yr Hi, has anyone expierince with archive drives e.g. from seagate in unraid (i use cache, so speed shouldnt be a problem?!) https://geizhals.de/seagate-archive-hdd-v2-8tb-st8000as0002-a1204027.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=eu&hloc=pl&hloc=uk I wonder a bit about power consumption, but i guess, its not worth thinking about it. March 17, 20188 yr Author So, work very well, but (ofc) dont use for cache!? Do they really require more watt? Edited March 17, 20188 yr by nuhll

March 18, 20188 yr The'yre good drives, very quiet and work great in unRAID. They're even fine as a parity drive.
March 20, 20188 yr Author They arrived very quickly (bought saturday, came monday). But i must say, they are relative loud... like these old drives which do click noises.. but its np, its in a server cabinet..
