March 17, 20188 yr I have a gtx 1080 founders edition from nvidea that I am trying to pass through to a virtual machine. I can access the virtual machine fine over VNC, and can even see the graphics card in VNC if I have it set as the secondary graphics. My problem is, trying to set the 1080 to the primary causes interesting problems. It turns on, and I can see that it is now running in the web gui, and yet i cannot actually see it on a monitor. I have one monitor, one 1080, and integrated graphics. At the moment my monitor is plugged into integrated, and I boot off integrated, trying to get to a 1080 VM. If I boot off the 1080 and assign the gfx card as primary on VM, I get a black screen when I turn on the VM. Nothing happens and I have to reset my computer. What am I doing wrong here? Also a total noob to Unraid.
March 17, 20188 yr You need to add your 1080's video bios, as a dump file, to your virtual machine config. Here's a good place you'll want to start.
