rikdegraaff
Hi All, I have a question about upgrading my unRAID server. I have unRAID v5, and I want to replace my 3TB parity disk with a 8TB disk. But does unRAID v5 support that size of HDD's? Or does unRAID, especially v5, support any size of hard disks? Thanks in advance, Rik Link to comment
Squid
Any size drive so long as the controller supports it (ie: LSI1068 controllers eg: BR10i) do not support > 2.2tb Link to comment

None of the people who frequently offer support on the forum are still running V5. Even if you are only interested in the NAS part of unRAID, V6 has many new features that will help you, and we will be better able to support you. Link to comment

Okay, but I've got a paid licence, can I upgrade my v5 to v6 with using that licence or do I need to buy it again? Link to comment

rikdegraaff
Superb, thank you for the support, @trurl . I am soon going to upgrade to v6. And then going to place some 8 terabyte disks. Link to comment
