August 7, 201015 yr Hi, does anybody know if unraid support the dfree command which is part of samba see http://www.linuxtopia.org/online_books/network_administration_guides/using_samba_book/ch08_06_02.html My problem is that i want to use time machine with unraid, and time machine cannot be limited to a maximum since. In early time it was possible to handle this with a sparsebundle and define the limit size of the image to the preferred maximum. But with snow leopard 10.6.4 time machine resize the bundle to the maximum disk size at the beginning of the startup process. http://www.netafp.com/tn004-10-6-3-and-timemachine-over-afp-image-size-limitation-102/ So my idea is to trick out timemachine and use the dfree command to give time machine a work disk size information. But i cannot define my own dfree command in the smb-extra.conf. Has anybode an idea. Or must i realy install afp to limit the size with volsizelimit or doesn't this work too.
August 24, 201015 yr I was wondering why my timemachine stopped backing up to my unraid, what a bummer. Well at least I know nothing is wrong with my unraid its just that I upgraded my mac OS. Gay, I thought microsoft was the only one that broke things in OS patches....
