Replacement drive does not show up

Featured Replies

One of I my drives went bad. I swapped the drive with a new one. After reboot the new disk does not show up. syslog (attached) does show weird messages about my LSI adaptrer. What is this?

Many thanks in advance.

It's not able to identify the disk, swap/replace cables and/or use an onboard port to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for your answer.

Switched from the mainboard SATA port to an Adaptec 1430SA SATA port. No joy. Same error message.

Drive did arrive today from Amazon. Seems it's DOA. What do you think?
