March 23, 20188 yr I've searched for this type of PSU and some got it working, while others didn't. My Supermicro motherboard is a X10SLM-F and my power supply is HX750W, it has 24 pins and 4+4 pins. Will it work with my motherboard? The PSU model is CMPSU-750HX. Here's a picture of the 4x4 power connector. https://puu.sh/zNSkk/27bc93cec8.jpg Edited March 23, 20188 yr by purudop
March 23, 20188 yr Author Same here, but I've googled it and some say it doesn't work while others claim it's working.
March 23, 20188 yr If it's not working it's got nothing to do with the connector, that's standard, you can use just 4 pins.
March 23, 20188 yr Author It's not the pins itself, it's the power signals There are some properties not compatible with supermicro motherboards, and Corsair never disclosede those properties, so it's hard to tell if anyone have that PSU and a similar Supermicro motherboard as I do, and it works, then I'll use it too

I have several Supermicro boards from X7, X8, X9 and X11 series, all of then are working with Corsair PSUs from CX, CS and TX series, unless you find a specific post that the X10SLM-F doesn't work with that PSU IMO you're looking for problems where there shouldn't be none.

They sell standard ATX PSU and as long as it's reasonably recent and big enough it should work with any motherboard expecting an ATX power supply.
March 27, 20188 yr You could always plug it in and see if it works?? It's the only sure way to know, but I'd be astounded if it didn't.
March 31, 20188 yr Author it works, but there is no Ethernet connection I suppose the 24 pin can't power it
March 31, 20188 yr Good day, I've have used Corsair PSUs on my SuperMicro mobos but mostly the AX series lines. But the PSU you are refering to and what some might say are not compatible is due to not able to plug the PSU into the Mobo. (SuperMicro PSUs have a special plug that plugs into the mobo on top of the 24pin - 4/8 pin.) However it is not needed. Just the 20/24 pin and the 4/8pin is required for the mobo. The PSU you chose is compatible with the mobo. Just use a single 4pin connector. It's okay with the other 4 pin hanging to the side of the other connector. Now if you are saying your LAN ports are not working you will need to check your Jumper settings. https://www.supermicro.com/manuals/motherboard/C222/MNL-1428.pdf If you log into the IPMI via the IPMIView20 OR the website. It will tell you your Voltages and will say if its out of tolerance. Please see pictures for reference. Edited March 31, 20188 yr by demonmaestro Spelling
