I would suggest that you post up a diagnostics file (in a new post)  using the command line interface.    You enter   diagnostics   on the cmd line and the script will write the diagnostics file to the   logs   folder/directory of your flash drive.

I've got also 500 error @ web gui, and the command line seems to be working.

I've run diagnostics, it created a log file on the flash drive.

But, the log file is 0KB size, it's just empty.

I've got this issue after fully replacing the hard drives - still playing with the system, trying to understand whether it fits my needs or not.

It was 2 hdds before, now I've put 5 hdds to test the things (and, actually, copy the old files from current nas).

But, faced with this 500error and the impossiblity to create the logs.

What should I do?

What's the output of

df -h

Also manually grab the syslog

cp /var/log/syslog /boot/syslog.txt

and post the file here.

The only way i could get my server to stop giving that error was to go back to a previous flash drive that i had backed up.im sure there are better ways but this worked for me

Thanks.
Actually, in my case it was also a flash-drive issue.
Started from scratch with a newer USB-stick, and now it seems to be OK.
