Cannot find device bond0

Featured Replies

While unraid is booting on my machine; first time ever doing this; it states near the end “cannot find device “bond0” and then after a little bit more code which I don’t understand, it says “unRAID Server OS Version : 6.5.0” Then giving me an IPv4 address but next to the IPv6 address, it says “ not set.” I have absolutely no idea what bonding is, and I’m trying to get this to work on my old windows 7 machine,  but when I search the IP address Microsoft edge (On my windows 10 machine) says “Hmmm…can’t reach this page” that drives me insane; and the same thing happens if I search https://tower

Hello,

I am having same problem since last reboot.

I am only able to boot in safe mode without plugins.

Also once I start the Array the web gui changes from custom settings to default view and the docker and VM tabs go missing.

I am unable to start the server.

Kindly find attached diagnostics.

Please advise how should i proceed......

This suggests a problem with one or more of your plugins - are they up to date?

Your diagnostics only cover a period of 59 seconds and during that time your bond0 is shown to be working correctly. Did you recently update to unRAID 6.5.0? There are known issues with the version of docker that it uses. Version 6.5.1 is available and recommended.

Oh, and you really don't want to be overclocking a server.

Hello John_m,

Thank you for your reply.

Yes I did recently update to 6.5.0

Attached is an image for your reference.

I shot the image during startup of the server in normal mode with GUI .

The server boots up normally but the unraid web GUI does not startbnor are the disks mounted.

After bootup ifconfig does not show any up allotted by my router dhcp also there is no access to the internet even when my LAN cable is connected

If there is a problem with the plugin how do I uninstall or disable plugin in normal boot up.

Regarding the diagnostics, I downloaded it when I booted server in safe mode...

Kindly advise how to proceed further.

The error with bond0 etc are irrelevant in this case.

The important line is the first on the monitor - the machine did manage to start booting from the USB drive but then disconnected the drive before it could continue and mount the root file system. So no drivers or configuration files available.

Start by inserting the drive in a Windows machine and check it's ok.

Then consider booting using a different USB connector.

I found the error i was my mistake.

Before last reboot i had passed a usb controller and changed my syslinux config. The  unRAID usb drive was plugged into one of the usb ports of the usb controller which was passed through to VM.

Thanx for the support guys.
