I was able to copy the key to the USB device but now I can't create an array because of a "Invalid, missing or expired registration key."

Where did you put the key?    It needs to be in the ‘config’ folder on the USB drive.

yes. i put the key in right place. 

Are you sure the date and time on the unraid box is correct? Are you sure the unraid box has internet access?

Yes. After about an hour it must have activated because I was finally able to connect.

AMD - bios set to UTC.


Found another answer in German, don't read German, but noticed Static and DHCP

I had set my to a static address, switch to DHCP and with my DHCP Server handing out the address I wanted.

 

This resolved the issue so I could setup the 30 day trial.
