April 1, 20188 yr I've seen reviews saying Asrock Avoton's having some reliability issues. Checkin online, I see these 2 boards, 1. Avoton C2750 https://www.ebay.com/itm/SuperMicro-uATX-Motherboard-PCIe-x8-PCIe-x4-USB2-x7-Quad-LAN-A1SRM-2750F/183129331421?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 2. Avoton C3758 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Supermicro-A2SDi-H-TF-Mini-ITX-Motherboard/123042929783?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649 Is C2750s still a good option? Or go to Denvertons? Are they fully compatible with Unraid? Anyone has experience in dealing with Supermicro's such models? I will have a max of 8 Docker apps, SAB, Sonarr, CouchPotato, LazyLibrarian, OpenVPN, Plex, and a few more. For Plex, I don't expect transcoding 4K, mostly to ipads, or cellphones only, 1080p. Is C2750 still enough? Thanks
April 1, 20188 yr I was running my server off a C2750D4I for quite some time. It's a fantastic little board, and very powerful for the money. However, this is something worth reading. There's a hardware flaw with the C2xxx chipset that means a board stands a chance of not coming back up after a reboot. My original motherboard had this issue; Restarted it one day (after a couple of years of use) and it never POSTed. My new one is going fine in my backup server however.
