TheGood
Can someone verify if there is a problem on the community app server? I am getting "Download of appfeed failed" with "Last JSON error Recorded: JSON Error: Syntax error" Quote Link to comment
sse450
i too confirm. Probably CA server problem. Quote Link to comment
saarg
Our host has some problems with their block storage and I guess the app feed is stored there. http://status.digitalocean.com/incidents/8sk3mbgp6jgl Quote Link to comment
pg93
Hi Guys, Is this the same error(attached image) you guys are getting? I just updated to 6.5.0, since update CA is not starting up, i also tried setting Static DNS as recommended but in vain. Kindly suggest solutions. Quote Link to comment

I tried loading legacy mode, but its still showing status as below, its still loading. Please advise how to proceed further. Should I abort It? Quote Link to comment

It just doesn't come up very often that legacy mode is even required (but it is there for this eventuality), and combined with a slow internet. If it takes longer than two minutes, the "Updating" screen will never disappear, but it still does the thing in the background. Give it say 10 minutes, then just reload the page and you're in business Quote Link to comment
pg93
@Squid Thanx a lot it worked Quote Link to comment

Just for giggles though, I ran speed tests (https://www.digitalocean.com/help/policy/) on all of digital ocean's centres, and they're all roughly the same from my location with the rather notable exception of Bangalore and Singapore for which I might as well use dial-up. bonzovt
i was having the same issue, thought maybe it was unraid version as upgrading from 6.4.1 to 6.5 was a little squirrley for me. tried upgrading to 6.5.1-rc3 and reinstalling CA but no luck. legacy mode did work for me. will the fix for normal usage be posted once it happens? shimlapinks
I am getting this issue also on a new install of 6.5.0 Quote Link to comment
Stupifier
Same here.....was hoping to get get some work done on my UnRAID setup....but CA is down Update: Was able to get what I needed in Legacy Mode. Edited April 1, 2018 by Stupifier Quote Link to comment
John_M
Trying to troubleshoot a different problem by removing and re-installing plugins, I have a server stuck (in Legacy mode) on "Updating Applications This will take a few minutes". Quote Link to comment

This has been changed in the next rev of CA which will be released once the appfeed server is operational (so I can verify everything still works). In the meantime, give it a couple more minutes and then just reload the page. It's just never been a priority until today, because I didn't think it would affect a fair amount of users (if any) We haven't as of yet had an extended server outage, where a ton of people bored on Easter Sunday would be playing with their server's all at the same time. [email protected]
Man, what a day for my PiHole docker to take a poop. I deleted and was going to redownload it. I guess I will have to wait... and look at ads :(. Quote Link to comment
bonzovt
Should be able to still go into docker tab, add new container and manually select from a repository that has that container in it. Quote Link to comment
Squid
Just click legacy mode. You'll spend a lot longer trying to figure out the repository addresses than clicking a button. And even not doing that, installed apps and previous apps sections should remain mostly unaffected. Quote Link to comment
shoulderlean
ok, so how do i become an elite member of those who can enable legacy mode? when i click legacy mode, i get a pop up that says 'switch to legacy mode?' I can 'update lists' or 'cancel'...when i click update lists, it says its updating applications, this will take a few mins.....i let it do its thing, but after a couple minutes the message disappears and i still cant access the CA. If i refresh the screen, i just go through the entire process again... Im sure im missing something very basic, Im not the most advanced unraid user. unraid 6.3.5 any ideas? just trying to get a sabnzbd docker installed.... Quote Link to comment

rbm
How do I now take my Unraid out of legacy mode? Or is it automatically out now that the feed is working again? Quote Link to comment
Squid
34 minutes ago, rbm said: Or is it automatically Yes. When an update to the feed is newer than when you switched to Legacy it will go back. You can also hit appfeed mode in the top right. If the button isn't there, its already in appfeed mode Quote Link to comment
