Change material with unraid

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I will go to change my material soon (M/B + CPU etc..) and is there anything special to do before with unraid?

Or if I just put my usb stick with unraid on my new tower?

Thanks for your help.

Usually it's plug'n play.

ok may be just a change of ip address on my box saw that currently I am ip fixed and suddenly I would not have the same address mac?

That would depend on your lan config if any adjustments need to be made, you can use the same IP.

ok nice !

Nothing special required but it is always a good idea to do the following first:

  1. Perform a Parity Check on old system to ensure state of array
  2. Print out configuration of array drives on old system to use as reference shoukd anything go wrong
  3. Perform SMART short tests on drives to have known state before moving of drives
  4. After above steps complete do a controlled shutdown of array.
