Hi All,

 

This is my first time trying this whole unaid set up, Im seeing that my Windows 10 VMs screen starts to get messed up by seeing lines all around the screen. Most of the time when I open up a browser the browser turns all black and fuzzy and then I have to restart to fix this.  Kinda making this Vm useless.

 

My Set up:

 

MSI X299 TOMAHAWK AC LGA 2066 ATX Intel Motherboard

Intel Core i7-7820X Extreme Edition Skylake 3.6 GHz LGA 2066

MSI GTX 1060 6GB (Passthrough)

16 GB HyperfuryX ddr4 ram

2 x 6 TB harddrive

60 GB SSD (My VM size is currently 50GB)

 

Another issue was that when i tried to install Nvida driver the first time, The VM blacked out and just crashed. I did use DDU to remove any other graphic drivers. After multiple attempts i get a success install. However the browser issue is still there, all the issues before are still present.  Also tried 3D benchmark  and I get my game running at below 30FPS and eventually crashes as well. The browser issue

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Missed some details

I'm in the same boat as you and turning off the Hyper-V might work for you, see the "Fix Nvidia Code 43 issue" below.  I have a Zotac GT 1030 that I use to pass through to my VM.  Everything is fine with the VM up until the Graphics Driver install.  Then the glitchy white lines on the screen, Chrome browser comes up black and sometimes works, and most times doing anything that requires any GPU support (including the browser) the system just crashes and restarts.  I believe this is all due to Nvidia.  They are not playing nice anymore with virtual machines, thus the other post about how to set Hyper-V to off or if that doesn't work to jerry rig the VM with a Nvidia driver:

I have since switch my VMs to using the old ATI card that I got that was originally going to be use for the console, MSI Radeon 6450 (https://us.msi.com/Graphics-card/R6450-MD1GD3LP.html) which go for ~$40 on amazon, and the VM doesn't have anymore issues.  I want to say its about the Nvidia vGPU thing they are doing in that they requiring you to buy a license to use your GPU with a virtual machine now: https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/design-visualization/technologies/virtual-gpu/  So instead of buying a card and getting to use it how you want they are now looking to add licensing for the GPU for virtual machines it seems.

 

So its either you get a good result by turning off Hyper-V and it works, or you need to jerry rig your own driver.  Alternatively, buy an ATI card.
