April 12, 20188 yr So let me start off by saying I was very stupid in doing this, but I used drives with known issues to make a nas , I was broke at the time. When one of the drives failed I backed my array up to a different drive, and recently bought new drives. Unraid won't let me start the array because the old drives parity drive is missing, I cant hook it up as it also failed. I put my two new drives in and set a parity and disk 1, but it won't let me start the array and rebuild from the drive I used as a backup, im also worried it will not let me disconnect the donor drive after i rebuild the array. is there some way to force unraid to start and use the backup drive. I attached an image of the screen.
