How can I find the Windows 10 Product Key in a VM?

Featured Replies

Tried to make the title as clear as possible.

I have 3 VM's running Windows 10 that I installed about a year ago but now I decided to take down one of them to release memory from the SSD cache drive.

I installed ProduKey (from NirSoft to read the Windows-key) I've used this program many times before and it has been working flawlessly.

Though now it says I have the exact same product key on all 3 VMs, the only difference is the ID-number. Is there another way to find the Windows 10 product key? Is it tied to a file maybe?

I am 100% sure I installed the VMs with different keys and it's saved as 3 different vDisks.
