Hi all,

I've had an interesting journey lately.  First part of the journey can be found here:

I reverted back to version 5, rebuilt the one disk, and all was well yesterday!  Until I upgraded to version 6.  Now it is not accepting disk 4 and has disabled it.  Worked fine in 5, passes both quick and long SMART tests, but Unraid refuses to use it and I can't figure out why.  I'm not sure if version 5 wasn't detecting a bad drive or if version 6 is falsely detecting a bad drive.

How can I resolve this?

Thanks,

Brandon

Exactly the same error you were having before, but now on disk4 instead of disk2 like before:

Problem is very likely virtualization related.

Hmmm... What should be the next step?  Thanks for looking.

And for more detail, this is running on an ESXi 5.1 machine with an M1015 passed through.  Doesn't have any issues in 5, only in 6.  :-/

Can't help, never virtualized unRAID, there's a virtualizing unRAID subforum, might get some help there.
