[solved] unRAID server unresponsive, then stopped before finishing Parity recalculation

Featured Replies

came back from a trip to find my unRAID server unreachable online...the IT guy at its location had to hard-reset it, as it would take no input at the prompt...started a parity sync after I saw it back online but found it stopped at 88.7% this morning, unable to generate diagnostics or much else...remote reboot failed, so another hard reset by the IT guy, and it's now doing parity sync again.

I was able to generate diagnostics just now, but I just don't have the eyes for those sort of logs...could anyone tell me what's likely to have happened?

advanced.buttons.plg - 2017.07.07

Delete advanced.buttons.plg from config/plugins on the flashdrive and reboot.  Seems to be the only way to get rid of it on later 6.5 versions

Beyond that, not quite sure what to say.  Was there any thing at the prompt? (errors, etc)  I think dynamix system stats though was having problems for some reason as it kept on spamming the logs.

I sent this hours ago via direct reply email, but I guess it never made it here, so here we go again:

ah, I was wondering about how to get rid of the advanced buttons plugin warning...deleted it manually, per your advice, and the warning is gone. thanks!

as far as the parity sync goes, I wonder whether it was me who failed to refresh the web-page properly on the last failed attempt, bc on the second attempt the web-page again stopped updating the progress, this time at 77.2%, but when I refreshed it, it showed that it successfully finished the sync operation...go figure.
