No Mouse and Keyboard control on Virtual Machines

I have been having issues with having mouse & keyboard control when installing a Virtual Machine, for example, I try loading a Ubuntu machine and when i attempt to VNC into the Ubuntu machine and have no control, nothing. Not sure what to do, what am I doing wrong, frustrating.  Do you have videos, or instructions on how to?

    1. Tap the lock icon next to the address bar.
    2. Tap Permissions → Notifications.
    3. Adjust your preference.
    Chrome (Desktop)
    1. Click the padlock icon in the address bar.
