April 27, 20188 yr Hi Guys, First time VM creator here so please bare with me... I'm trying to create a Win10 VM with GPU passthrough (980ti PCIe slot 5), I have a second GPU (GT710 PCIe slot 1). I keep getting the following error and I am not sure how to overcome it: internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2018-04-27T05:57:35.590106Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device vfio-pci,host=09:00.0,id=hostdev0,bus=pci.0,addr=0x5: vfio error: 0000:09:00.0: failed to setup container for group 18: failed to set iommu for container: Operation not permitted Things I have checked: - iommu is enabled - bios the default GPU is set to slot 1 - Passign through GPU audio Here are my IMMO groups: Dashboard Main Shares Users Settings Plugins Docker VMs Apps Tools Terminal Feedback Help Info Log System Devices PCI Devices and IOMMU Groups IOMMU group 0: [1022:1452] 00:01.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. April 27, 20188 yr post your full diagnostics (tools>diagnostics) since your iommu groups appear to be incomplete in what you posted (omitting group 18) and also shows the device id (09:00.0) in group 16.
April 27, 20188 yr Author Here is the full diagnostics (attached). On the devices page it only shows up to iommu group 16, no group 18 shows, tower-diagnostics-20180427-0516.zip
April 27, 20188 yr this is your problem Apr 27 02:37:54 Tower kernel: vfio_iommu_type1_attach_group: No interrupt remapping support. Use the module param "allow_unsafe_interrupts" to enable VFIO IOMMU support on this platform modify your syslinux.cfg to the following append vfio_iommu_type1.allow_unsafe_interrupts=1 initrd=/bzroot you can access it under the main tab, then click on the flash device that hosts your unRaid os. once you have modified the line, reboot and retry again.
April 27, 20188 yr Author Ah thank you very much! The VM will now start, however will not show any video output on the screen? I have unplugged the screen from the original GPU and now into my 980ti and nothing appears. I have tried both the HDMI and DP ports. Edited April 27, 20188 yr by GoudaK

I have unplugged the screen from the original GPU and now into my 980ti and nothing appears. I have tried both the HDMI and DP ports. There are multiple reasons that could cause it. I would suggest digging through them: https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&ei=XiTjWuvBD4nl_QaznIHgBQ&q=unraid+black+screen+windows+10&oq=unraid+black+screen+windows+10&gs_l=psy-ab.3...946.4122.0.4667.3.2.0.0.0.0.71.123.2.2.0....0...1.1j2.64.psy-ab..1.1.71.0..35i39k1.0.Z54LVfbowXY Sorry I can't be more specific at this point.
