April 27, 20188 yr I have a flaky drive that I am trying to replace. The replacement drive is from an Unraid server we had a work that we never used. Its the same model drive as the "bad" drive. Putting the new drive in, I am getting a drive too small error. Seeing all the post about HPA are a little confusing to me. I do see a reference to HPA in my syslog but am wondering if its just on this new drive (from the old system) or if I have to do something else. Can someone walk me through what I have to do here? Thanks! Scott Here is my syslog: https://pastebin.com/w7pE7nTH

April 27, 20188 yr Author Thanks! Looks like it was from the old system. I was able to run a: hdparm -N p1953525168 /dev/sde and reboot. It still shows as disabled and rebuilding now. Thank you!
