Array Stopped Too Many Devices

Featured Replies

I am new to unRaid, and still in my trial period. Over the past few weeks I have come home to my array stopped and at the bottom left of the screen it says:

Array Stopped: Too Many Devices

I have 5 drives. 1x 64gb cache drive, 1x 4gb cache drive and 3x 4gb storage drives

Next time that happens, post your diagnostics before you do anything.

Hello, I am super new and building my first Unraid system. I finally got my new rig to load Unraid and trying to set things up. I seems that I cannot load any drives to Unraid. I am getting an error, "Array stopped to many devices". I have 8 @ 8tb and 1 @ 10tb and 2 @ 1tb Samsung ssd. All connect to a Iocrest controller model SI-PEX 40094.

Please let me know what files you want to see. I can really use some guidance to mount drives

So now,

I bypassed my controller and attached 4 @ 8tb wd red drives to my motherboard controller. I now have array stopped: Stale configuration.

Please post current diags

What type of controller would you recommend that can handle this amount of drives?

Thank you again for your help

Any LSI with a SAS2008/2308/3008 chipset in IT mode, e.g., 9201-8i, 9211-8i, 9207-8i, 9300-8i, etc and clones, like the Dell H200/H310 and IBM M1015, these latter ones need to be crossflashed.
