Spontaneous reboots

Featured Replies

Over the last couple of months, my server has developed a habit of spontaneously rebooting, leaving no information about what caused the reboot.  unRAID experiences an unclean shutdown and starts a parity check on the reboot, and there is no saved log file.

Sometimes this will happen twice in one day, at other times it will run for two weeks.

Can anyone suggest how to track down the cause and/or fix the problem?

unRAID logs are in RAM and aren't saved anywhere unless you make it. One way to make it is Fix Common Problems - Troubleshooting Mode

Yes, I was aware that syslogs are only stored to flash by powerdown.  I was not aware of the FCP option - thanks for pointing this out.  I hope that the reboot occurs before my flash drive fills!
