Multiple Server Managment WebUI

Featured Replies

Don’t know if this has already been suggested or not (quick search didn’t turn up anything) so appologies if it has been suggested already.

I was just thinking that it would be really useful if we could have a central managment WebUI for situations where you have multiple unraid servers running on different machines. It would let you just have one place to go to manage all servers, you could have a list of all your vm’s and docker containers as well as all your arrays and user shares.

Obviously it would actually be a lot of work to get this up and running so I was thinking you could just start by making a quick interface which has a link to the management page of each of your unraid servers, it could also have a little status indicator next to each server, then move on to upgrade it with more features form there.

let me know what you guys think and what other features/suggestions you have :)

ControlR looks pretty good, I’ll take a look at it thanks :) just a shame it’s an app and not a website/local web server.

think I might just make a simple website with the links for all my servers on it and run it on a local web server. Defo give ControlR a go though

run heimdal app on one of the machines with tags to the others. essentially makes a local public web page with customizable links. it's what I do to access them quickly from any computer/smart phone/tablet in the house.

controllr is crap.

A nice multiple server setup would be very  handy.

The author of ControlR is very responsive to suggestions, and certainly contributes more to this community than some people.

Thats my opinion.

Opinions are like ...

The worst part is the NEED for VPN to use this from outside, as i would need this app inside my local area network.

And yes i know why he did this, but in my opinion, its not clever.

Thanks For The Tip! I'll Take A Look At That :)

So If This Was Part Of Unraid What Features Or Controls Would People Want On It?

If Someone Can Point Me To The "How To Make A Plugin For Unraid" Pages I'll Happily Make One For It, I Just Feel It Should Be A Feature Built Into Unraid

Heimdall would be really nice, if they implement the proxy thing.

Like u only need to auth to heimdall and then he redirects the local links to remote.

I saw ur question about plugins after rereading,s orry.

I dont know explicit links, but you can find very much information if you just look at plugins from others and or google like "unraid create plugin" or something like this.

Maybe there is even an official guide, but i guess, it woudl be outdated.

Best is, i think, try to understand how plugins from others work and if you have specific questions, do it... :D
