shire
I use a Asrock - b75 pro3-m with 8 SATA ports together with a Supermicro aoc-saslp-mv8 and another cheap Adaptec 4 port SATA card. One SATA port died on that mainboard. After reading some threads in the forum I thought of replacing the Supermicro and Adaptec card with two new 8 port cards: Dell H310 or LSI 9207-8i A few questions: Are there any differences between these two cards? I read something about crossflashing the Dell card...what about that? I find a lot of these cards new on ebay. They ship cheap from China. Is it advisable to buy them there. In Germany the card would cost me three times the price. Edited April 29, 2018 by shire Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
For most uses they will perform similarly, 9207 is plug n play, h310 needs to be crossflashed, avoid buying from China, you can get a fake, best to buy used server pulls or new from a reputable seller. Quote Link to comment
