MvL Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 Yesterday I received 2 LSI 9207-8i HBA cards. I've bought them on Ebay for a nice price. My question I've connected them dual link. Are the cards automatically using dual link or do I have to set something?

I connect one of my cards to a true expander with dual cables Dell H310 with both ports connected to 2 of the six on a RES2SV240, then four out of the RES to drives
MvL Posted April 29, 2018 Author Posted April 29, 2018 Oh yeah sorry, I connected them to a expander backplane of my 24 bay server chassis.

Yes, if the expander supports it, you can check with: cat /sys/class/sas_host/host1/device/port-1\:0/sas_port/port-1\:0/num_phys You need to replace host1 with the correct one, post your diags if you can't find it. If result is 8 then it's using dual link, 4 means single link.
MvL Posted April 30, 2018 Author Posted April 30, 2018 It's reporting a 8. So it's dual link. Thank you Johnnie.
