VPN With Docker

Featured Replies

Hi,

I would like to to say that the people in this forum have a lot more class. No offence FREENAS:D

I have the NzbgetVPN docker by Binhex installed. I would like to be able to tell if the vpn part is working. Could any please help me out with

the command line that would show me the docker is connected to the vpn?

Thanks

the docker will not launch if its not connected i believe. at least anytime i have tried it just spits out an error. It will also cut the connection if the vpn goes down afaik

The best place to ask this sort of question is in the specific support thread for the docker app after reading through the FAQ's to see if your question has been asked and answered before.

(hint, the answer is already in binhex's FAQ)

Q2. How can i verify that the Usenet client is using the VPN tunnel?

A2. You can verify this by downloading a public webpage inside the running Docker container which returns your public ip address, instructions on how to do this shown below:-

1. SSH into your host

2. Run the following command:-

docker exec -it <name of container> curl -L https://jsonip.com
