MvL
I have a ssd as cache drive at the moment but it's way to small. I'm thinking of to use spinners as my cache drive because they are cheaper. Of course I want speed is this possible with spinners. Is it possible to set 2 or 3 spinners in RAID 0? Are there other options? Quote Link to comment

Tybio
For cache, I'd just backup things required to the array and do Raid0. Why have all that protected space and then create another bucket of protected space on the device you want the most performance out of? I totally get why some people do, just how I've come down in my thinking... Quote Link to comment
pwm
I wish there was some form of statistics about people who have had issues with their cache file systems. How often there is issues with single-disk xfs. How often with single-disk btrfs. How often with mirrored btrfs. How often with striped btrfs. How often with striped/mirrored btrfs. I get the feeling that btrfs cache pools are quite significantly over-represented in broken caches. Quote Link to comment
