May 3, 20188 yr Hi all, This is a weird one. I feel like it has crept up on me and I have no solid way of diagnosing. When I browse to some folders (not consistent) I get a spinning busy mouse on my Windows 10 machine and it just times out. Sometimes it'll snap out of it and give me a directory listing, most times not. Other folders pop right open with no problem. Just testing now on another windows 10 machine, it works fine. So the issue must be something funky with my windows installation. Any ideas what I can try to get this straightened out? Thx.

May 3, 20188 yr Author No, thanks but that’s not it. I should have mentioned that I’ve been using unraid for a decade. This has just been happening recently and I’m reaching a desperation point that might cause me to reinstall windows on this machine.
May 3, 20188 yr Author It gets stranger. I've disabled everything I can think of, and now it's one particular folder that times out. Others open in a flash. Is there anything in particular in unraid that may be wrong with a particular folder causing it to timeout over SMB?
May 3, 20188 yr Community Expert filesystem corruption but it should behave the same whichever machine you try it from.
May 3, 20188 yr Author Stopped and started the array and the folder responds perfectly in SMB (for now). Does this help at all? Anyone know the inner workings of UNRAID SMB per-machine caching or whatever might be causing this?
