Installation and Bug Reporting Instructions

This is a security and bug fix release, with also a couple cool improvements by @bonienl:

  • The context menu for a running docker container now includes a function to open a terminal window for the container console, very handy.
  • You can rearrange the start order of containers by dragging the rows up and down.

In addition, this release includes new microcode from Intel.  Here are their changes vs. 20180312 release:

== 20180425 Release ==
-- Updates upon 20180312 release --
Processor             Identifier     Version       Products
Model        Stepping F-MO-S/PI      Old->New
---- updated platforms ------------------------------------
GLK          B0       6-7a-1/01 0000001e->00000022 Pentium Silver N/J5xxx, Celeron N/J4xxx
---- removed platforms ------------------------------------
BDX-ML       B/M/R0   6-4f-1/ef 0b000021           Xeon E5/E7 v4; Core i7-69xx/68xx

-- Special release with caveats --
BDX-ML       B/M/R0   6-4f-1/ef           0b00002c Xeon E5/E7 v4; Core i7-69xx/68xx

The "Special release with caveats" means that the firmware should only be loaded when using kernels with certain set of patches installed.  We have checked and verified that all specified patches are included with the kernel in this release (4.14.39).

We are anticipating a very quick testing cycle before releasing this to the stable branch.

Not sure if this allowed in this thread but I want to say that are two cool features you guys added! Thank you. Looking forward when stable comes out.

installed on a z400 and g7 proliant. z400 seems fine. proliant reports a broken pipe:

May  4 12:17:44 Brahms1 kernel: tun: Universal TUN/TAP device driver, 1.6
May 4 12:17:44 Brahms1 emhttpd: nothing to sync
May  4 12:17:45 Brahms1 emhttpd: error: send_file, 139: Broken pipe (32): sendfile: /usr/local/emhttp/logging.htm
May  4 12:17:45 Brahms1 kernel: ip6_tables: (C) 2000-2006 Netfilter Core Team

is that anything to worry about? Others seems fully functional.

Is there a more detail report somewhere that I can move to the Bug Report database?
I saw the same thing with one container yesterday. Was set to autostart, and did not start. I'll look at the diags later on and post accordingly

Found one of my dockers pointing to the wrong help page. The docker in question is the official MySql docker hosted on docker.com. Its repository is located here: https://hub.docker.com/_/mysql/

Its help link points to Bungy's support topic

Its because Bungy has the official repository in his repository.  Doesn't matter how you created the template yourself, an identical repository exists within the app system, so that's the support thread it uses.

Breaks Windows 10 VM vDisk creation for me...  After update vDisk creation defaults to "None" and I only have "Manual" as vDisk location...  Rollback to 6.5.1 Stable restored all attached disks and "Auto" as available options...
