CowboyRedBeard
So I have setup an unraid server for a friend to try out, and just after having finished the USB became damaged. It was severely bent, it's still functioning right now, but I just don't trust it since I had to hot glue it together. Instead of starting all over, can I just clone the unraid USB to a new one someone so that all the plugins / dockers / settings / etc will still be there? Or can I just use a fresh USB and copy everything somehow?? Link to comment
John_M
Make a fresh USB boot device and copy the config folder and its contents (which include your settings and your registration key) over from the old one. Then boot the server with the new USB device and follow the replacement procedure to get a new key for it. Link to comment
CowboyRedBeard
I get the following?? There's no "replace key" option, this is a trial copy BTW. The registered GUID does not match the USB Flash boot device GUID Trial installations are only valid with the originally registered USB Flash device. To continue using this installation with this USB Flash device, you may purchase a Registration key. Link to comment
Squid
You can't "replace" a trial key (ie: delete Trial.key from config on the flash drive). Set back up your disk assignments. Everything else should pretty much be good to go, with minimal changes on your part Link to comment
CowboyRedBeard
So, start with a fresh install on a new key... get a new trial license... will all my settings, dockers and plugins still be there? I'm a n00b still..... got it. Link to comment

JorgeB
It's not possible to copy the settings to a new trial flash drive, only to a licensed flash drive. Link to comment

Not sure, but you can't copy the config folder, it won't work, and since it's done on purpose by LT never tried to find out if it's OK to copy just some of the files. Link to comment
