Install docker container not in github

Featured Replies

I have been given a link to a docker container (myMediaAlexa) that is hosted on Amazon rather than on gitHub.    This docker looks particularly interesting as it will allow me to play music hosted on unRAID using Alexa and voice control.   The link point to a tar file that appears to contain all the layers and some configuration files.   Is there any guidance anywhere on how I could install such a docker container on unRAID.    If nobody can point to any useful guides I will try and puzzle it out myself.   If I can get it all working I will put together a guide on what I had to do.

If it's on dockerHub then you can just enable dockerHub searches for the apps tab and there's no problems. If it doesn't exist there (doesn't matter where the code exists GitHub vs Amazon) then you'll have to issue the appropriate docker build commands.

You can pull containers from repositories other than Dickerson, you just change the repository field appropriately.

You will need to set the container up manually with the template though
