Hello all,

 

I got a Ryzen 2700x with 32 GB of ram and 1 TB SSD used for cache and my gaming VM.

 

I use Unraid mostly for Plex, NAS and gaming but I'm currently having an issue where whenever I watch a movie on Plex thorugh my VM, the performance drops a ton with a lot of hitches in normal use.

 

I don't know if this is an issue with the plex docker or my VM.

I really can't figure it out - I don't have any issues with games or anything like that, it's only when I use the plex docker.

 

My only thought is that linux is grabbing CPU power from my VM to transcode for the plex docker, but I'm not sure how to isolate cores for my VM exclusively, separate plex and VM completely.

 

Help?

 

Iso cores for plex so they don't interfere with you gaming VM.
