VM audio issues v.6.5.2

Featured Replies

I'm having trouble getting audio to work properly in Linux VMs. Couldn't find anything in the manual regarding audio issues for Linux based VMs, and my limited knowledge isn't helping either.

HDMI audio is stuttering like mad...

Checking MSI capability for the GPU: (Looks fine)
# lspci -v -s 1:00.0
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation GP104 [GeForce GTX 1070] (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation GP104 [GeForce GTX 1070]
        Capabilities: [68] MSI: Enable+ Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
        Kernel driver in use: vfio-pci

Doing the same for the audio controller and MSI is disabled... Is this normal?
# lspci -v -s 1:00.1
01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GP104 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)
Subsystem: NVIDIA Corporation GP104 High Definition Audio Controller
        Capabilities: [68] MSI: Enable- Count=1/1 Maskable- 64bit+
        Kernel driver in use: vfio-pci

I thought it might be something weird with the GPU so i passed-trough an USB sound card but the sound is crackling and stuttering....

This didn't work... https://askubuntu.com/questions/405071/static-and-crackling-in-my-hdmi-audio

This particular VM is an Ubuntu one, I've tried Manjaro as well with no luck. Would greatly appreciate some help. Thanks in advance!
